BSA/375 - Fundamentals of Business Systems Development
Course Description
This course introduces the fundamental, logical, and design considerations addressed during system and application software development. It provides a solid background in information systems analysis and design techniques through a combination of theory and application. The Systems Development Life Cycle will be fundamental to the course.
This undergraduate course is 5 weeks.

Course Objectives
Week 1
- Define the systems development life cycle (SDLC).
- Describe the activities in planning a systems development project.
- Explain the differences between agile and waterfall software methodologies.
Week 2
- Explain how information is gathered to understand and support analysis of a systems development project.
- Define systems analysis and systems requirements.
Week 3
- Define system design specifications.
Week 4
- Identify the activities involved in systems development.
- Identify the activities involved in systems implementation.
- Identify the activities involved in systems operations.
Week 5
- Define systems maintenance and how it is performed.
- Explain system configuration management.
