Course Description

This course focuses on behaviors, attitudes, and values necessary for theory-based professional nursing practice. The roles of baccalaureate nurses are presented within the frameworks of Watson's theory of human caring and Benner's theory of novice to expert.

PLEASE NOTE:
Attendance and participation are mandatory in all university courses, and specific requirements may differ by course. If attendance requirements are not met, a student may be removed from the course. Please review the Course Attendance Policy in the Catalog for more information.

Enrollment in the course is limited to participants of the Concurrent Enrollment Program.

You have two payment options:

Option 1: Installments - You make the first of four payments ($305 each) when you checkout then make three additional payments per course over the next four months. Your first payment will cover $135 tuition plus $170 Resource Fee. Your remaining three payments of $305 will apply to the remaining balance of tuition. Once you complete this transaction your Enrollment Representative will reach out with instructions on making the remaining payments.

Option 2: Full Payment - You pay for the course in full when you checkout.

  • Analyze the theoretical foundations of nursing knowledge.
  • Explain how nursing knowledge is applied in practice.
  • Explain the intersection of theory, research, and practice.
  • Apply nursing theory in practice situations.
  • Evaluate the theory-practice gap.

Prerequisites

Enrollment in the course is limited to participants of the Concurrent Enrollment Program.
